Not only is your subject knowledge very much in demand by schools, so is your career experience and work related skills.

The Transition to Teaching Programme will ensure that you receive advice on your suitability to teaching, arrange subject knowledge refresher courses, information on funding or salary levels for teaching and advice on your choice of your teacher training provider course. You can also receive tax free bursaries and incentives while you study.

Many employer organisations have already signed up to support the programme by promoting it to their staff, with several organisation offering additional support.
